With her recent endeavors in joining the Rangers it was no surprise that Estelle found herself now here exploring the Giant Chasm along with other League forces. Not that, that was a problem for her at all. Above all Estelle was a soldier and Knight. Doing recon work like this was something she was used to. [break][break]

Hunting down targets even more so. [break][break]

What she hadn't expected was for her fiancé to follow her. It wasn't that she didn't trust his capabilities, after all she'd lost to him a few times and she considered herself to be quite skilled. She just wasn't used to working with him in this sort of capacity. It was fine as long as he didn't cause any issues. She wasn't much of a talker anyway, so as they made their way through the Chasm she kept to herself, keeping one hand on the hilt of her sword at all times.[break][break]

Little Sparrow flies up above, a scout that always kept him knowing what was to come. The Wattrel was smart. And here, in ther first real excursion, in the Giant Chasm. As teammates? Equals?[break][break]

Either way, hands in his pockets, he points towards his fiancée. "Will you be quiet the whole trip then, Estelle?"[break][break]

He asks, a smile always on his lips.[break][break]

The further in they go, the closer Walking Wake gets. The closer the dinosaur is, the sooner they have to be ready. A blade is on his person, but hidden quietly, tucked away. Not because he doesn't want to defend himself, but one look at Estelle...[break][break]

Huh. His eye twitches. Why did he feel... afraid right now? He was trembling. His smile never disappeared, but it shrunk, as he got an inch closer to Estelle.

Estelle could hear the smile on his lips and she couldn't help but roll her eyes. She was inclined to ignore him but she knew that wouldn't only serve her more trouble than good. "Is there any reason for me to speak?" She asked as she continued her hike through these wildlands. "Division in concentration could lead to a fatal accident." she continued as she swiftly scaled over a large rock in their path.[break][break]

"It'd be better for both our sakes that we keep our wits--" she paused as she looked back to offer Duncan a hand only to notice a paleness in his face and a slight tremble in his bones. "...about us." Her brows knitted together in confusion. This was unlike him, she'd never seen him like this before. He was smiling but it..it wasn't the same.[break][break]

"Are...you alright? Did something happen?" Estelle asked, genuine concern written all over her features.[break][break]

Just as Estelle spoke she noticed large gashes on the rock she had just scaled. It wasn't just on the rock either but on the trees nearby too. Estelle's frown deepened as she gently touched the gashes. "...Impressive" she muttered to herself. It seemed to be from a sword. In order to leave such a mark on rocks one would have to be quite skilled with the blade. Too much pressure on any given point could lead the blade to crack and shatter.[break][break]

"Your grace, take a look at this." Estelle spoke freely to her fiancé for the first time in what would seem to be forever. One could tell by the glimmer in her eye that she was beginning to get excited. Perhaps that was why she spoke to Duncan without reservations like she normally would. A slip of the tongue while she was momentarily distracted.
